Notifier gadget
With the new Notifier gadget end users have the ability to send messages with text and a ‘referral link’ to his contacts via SMS, email, Whatsapp and Facebook Messenger.
This feature is particularly useful to sales organisations to send messages to prospects with links from the App to follow-up sales enquiries and presentations in addition to a host of other uses where several templated message are required to be sent to customers from the App.
This Gadget offers the App End User a wide variety of available messaging channels according to their individual requirements including linking to social media messaging systems such as WhatsApp and Facebook making it easy to fit your individual business requirements.
The App Owner scenario
- The App Owner goes to the Appsmakerstore dashboard.
- There the App Owner adds the “Notifier” gadget.
- The App Owner can add this gadget to the App only once
- The App Owner can perform all the changes with this gadget as with the other gadgets (change icon, make it a sub-gadget, block, as described in the Gadgets User Manual)
- The App Owner cannot edit this gadget’s contents directly from the dashboard, the gadget contents can only be edited by an App End User
The End User scenario
Creating Message Templates
- The End User opens the App.
- The End User sees the “Notifier” gadget on main App page.
- If the End User goes to the Notifier gadget they can see the list of their message templates and the button ‘Add new’ (if the End User has not already added any templates they will see the text “Please create your Template”) and the “Send” button.
- Press on button “Add new template”:
- The End User can see a new page with the text field where they can add the required text (noting that the number of characters may be limited by the respective chosen messaging channel, so text may be trimmed during the sending process) and also see the ‘Save’ and ‘Cancel’ buttons.
- Press on ‘Save’ - The End User will see their saved template in a list on the main gadget page.
- Press on ‘Cancel’ - The template will not be saved.
The End User can delete any of their saved templates by tapping on the “trash can” icon
Additional End User Options
“Press on ‘Send” the End User will be able to:
- Select an existing message template or add text manually
- Select one of the available messaging channels: SMS, email, Whatsapp, or Facebook Messenger
- Select the Recipient from the host device Contact list (if selected SMS or email messaging channels).
Press on “My log” and the End User can see pages with the history of their messages and relevant format:
For SMS and email:
- Date / time log
- Name of recipient
- SMS or email marker
Note: The App does not track or show if the SMS or email message sending was successful but only tracks the in-App action request.
For Facebook and WhatsApp:
- Date / time log
- Facebook or WhatsApp marker
Note: The App cannot log the name of the recipient due to privacy settings of third party Facebook and WhatsApp applications but the sent messages will be shown in the relevant App sent messages to that recipient.
Additional Notes:-
- The End User can select send (1 message template) to several recipients at once.
- The cost of SMS messages will be charged by the Mobile Network provider according to the End User’s mobile service provider’s plan, specific costs may be affected with quantity of characters used in each message and messages may be trimmed, truncated and concatenated according to the End User’s Mobile Network and third party application provider services, all of which are subject to change according to individual policy and outside the control of Appsmakerstore.
- Sending SMS messages to international recipients may be outside of any service provider’s inclusive tariff bundles and the End User may incur significant additional costs when using this option.
- Whilst in SMS mode the End User also has the option to switch to WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger and select recipients there and send their message (noting that in this scenario it is only possible to send messages to multiple recipients one by one).
- The End User must be a ‘friend’ with the person on Facebook and already connected in order to send their message in this mode.
- The End User can see the history of their messages in their SMS, email, Whatsapp or Facebook Messenger Applications, their messaging history will not be saved in its entirety in the Appsmakerstore App.
App Sign Up
- In the Appsmakerstore dashboard there is a new field to the Sign up form, where an End User can add his unique ID referral link.
- This link will be added to all messages that an End User sends from the App.
- End user will be asked to give access to their Device contacts list, also if needed to Whatsapp contacts and Facebook Messenger contacts.
Note:- All templates that were sent are saved in the End Users email, Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp accounts, even if the gadget or App has been deleted.
